On this website you can find my final thesis. It deals with Czechs in America (The Maintenance of Czech Identity in Contemporary America). The thesis presents a history of Czech immigration to the United States and the contribution of Czechs to American culture. A research study was conducted to determine to what extent Czech Americans maintain a Czech identity in contemporary America. The thesis was completed in August 2003 at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

I would like to thank to all Czech Americans who attended the research. Without their contribution, the completion of this work would not be possible.

Czech Americans can still fill out the questionnaire which was used in this thesis. You can find it and fill it out on this website. I plan to use the new results in a future project concerning Czechs in America.
